Theology, Spirituality and Religious Experience

We are pleased to be offering a summer school again this year.

Theology, Spirituality and Religious Experience

The course consists of 10 one-hour online lectures by Fr Pat Collins C.M. given over two weeks delivered entirely online. It is offered twice:

13 – 24 July and

10 – 21 August

Participants can interact on our e-learning platform and there will be a streamed question and answer session following the final lecture. Click here to find out more about it.

Fr Pat Collins C.M., has lectured in All Hallows College, St Patrick’s College Drumcondra and the Milltown Institute, on spirituality, theology and the psychology of religion. In recent years he has published a trilogy of books which are about the interface between subjective religious experience and objective Christian truth, Guided by God: Ordinary and Charismatic Ways of Discovering God’s Will; Prophecy: Truth for Today Light for Tomorrow; and Countdown to Doomsday: How Our World will End, which is about apocalyptic prophecy.  He helped to introduce the Alpha Course into the Republic of Ireland and is a founder member of the New Springtime Community in Dublin.

You very kindly helped us in the past by putting a notice in your newsletter It would be greatly appreciated if you would put a notice on your parish website and pass on this message to anyone you think might be interested, this year your help in letting people know is more important than ever as we cannot contact people through the parish newsletters.

CLONARD NOVENA

In current circumstances, it isn’t an option to celebrate an in-church Novena during the month of June.

So, the Irish Redemptorists have decided to do an all-Ireland, online Novena, which will be streamed live from Limerick [Mt St Alphonsus] and Belfast [Clonard].

The Novena will begin on Friday, June 19th and end of June 27th , the feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help.

The Sessions from Clonard will be at:
7am; 9.30am; 6.15pm; and 8.00pm.

The Redemptorist preachers are:
Fr Peter Burns, Fr Johnny Doherty, Fr Brendan Keane and Fr Ciaran O’Callaghan.
Rev Dr Janet Unsworth [Methodist] and Rev Jonathan Frazer [Presbyterian] will speak on the Ecumenical day [Monday 22nd June]

Irish Blessing Message

Hi Everyone,

In the spirit of Pentecost, we ask you to help us spread the word about The Irish Blessing far and wide, so that the name of the Lord will be exalted across our island and beyond!

How you can help…

ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
Come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
